Welcome to The Jolly Gardeners, a newly restored neighbourhood pub in Boughton, Chester.

We’re proud to be a true, independent freehouse with no brewery ties — meaning we pour only what we love. Our bar features a carefully curated line-up of cask and keg real ales, chosen from some of the best brewers around the country, and looked after with real care.

Our kitchen serves up proper pub food with a British heart and European influences. At the centre of it all is our charcoal grill, where we cook exceptional heritage-breed, organic and grass-fed meats, the freshest Cornish day-boat fish, and locally sourced seasonal vegetables.

To keep things pubby, our entire ground floor is reserved for walk-ins — whether you’re popping in for a pint or staying for a meal. Just come on in.
